Karen Ann Hopkins resides in northern Kentucky with her family on a farm that's home to a diverse menagerie of horses, goats, peacocks, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs, and cats. As a full-time homeschooling mother, she also finds time to give riding lessons, coach a youth equestrian drill team, and pursue her passion for writing. Inspired by her experiences living among the Amish community, Hopkins drew upon her experiential knowledge to craft the Temptation series, which follows the star-crossed lovers Rose and Noah as they navigate their families and cultures. The series continues with novels such as Belonging, Forever, and Deception, each exploring the complexities of love and relationships. Her latest Amish endeavor, Lamb to the Slaughter, is the first book in Serenity's Plain Secrets, delving into the darker, grittier aspects of Amish society and the devastating consequences of a teenage girl's mysterious death.
