Kamila Shamsie Books in Order
Kamila Shamsie is a critically acclaimed novelist and writer, born in Karachi in 1973. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and an MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her debut novel, In the City by the Sea, was published by Granta Books in 1998 and shortlisted for the John Llewelyn Rhys Award in the UK. Shamsie received the Prime Minister's Award for Literature in Pakistan in 1999 for her work. Her subsequent novels, including Salt and Saffron, Kartography, Broken Verses, and Burnt Shadows, have garnered significant acclaim, earning her recognition as one of Orange's "21 Writers of the 21st Century." Shamsie's books have been translated into numerous languages and have won several prestigious awards, including the Patras Bokhari Award from the Academy of Letters in Pakistan.
