Julian Stockwin is a renowned author of historical adventure fiction, known for his Kydd series, which chronicles the gripping journey of Thomas Kydd from a pressed man to admiral in the age of fighting sail. Stockwin's extensive naval background, gained through his time at Indefatigable, a tough sea-training school, and his early enlistment in the Royal Navy at fifteen, provides a rich foundation for his stories. He resides in Devon with his wife Kathy. With twenty-two novels to his name, Stockwin has also published a non-fiction book, 'Stockwin's Maritime Miscellany', and two historical standalone novels, 'The Silk Tree' and 'The Powder of Death'. His latest Kydd series title, 'To the Eastern Seas', has been released, followed by 'Balkan Glory' in October.
