Joseph Heywood Books in Order

Joseph Heywood is a renowned American author, born to a family with a rich military heritage. His father, a career USAF officer, hails from Rhinecliff, New York, while his mother, Josephine Hegwood, is from Mize, Mississippi. A graduate of Rudyard High School in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, he excelled in various sports, including football, basketball, baseball, and track. Heywood earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University in 1965, where he also played lacrosse and was a member of the ROTC program. He served as a USAF Instructor Navigator from 1965 to 1970, earning an Air Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters for his service in Vietnam. After honorable discharge as a captain, he pursued graduate studies at Western Michigan University. As a successful business leader, Heywood retired as vice president of worldwide public relations for The Upjohn Company (now Pfizer) in 2000. In his writing career, he has gained recognition for his works, including his mystery novels set in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
