Jon Olav Fosse is a renowned Norwegian playwright, novelist, and poet born in Haugesund, who currently resides in Bergen. His literary career began in 1983 with the publication of the novel Raudt, svart, followed by the debut of his first play, Og aldri skal vi skiljast, in 1994.
