John Gwynne is a British author known for his epic fantasy novels. His debut novel, Malice, was chosen as Goldsboro Books' 'Book of the Month' for December 2012. Born in Singapore to a family in the RAF, Gwynne spent his childhood traveling extensively, often relocating every three years. He currently resides in East Sussex with his wife, four children, and three dogs. Gwynne's eclectic career has included a range of roles, from packing soap in a factory to lecturing at Brighton University. He temporarily stepped away from academia to care for his daughter, now dedicating his time to writing and rejuvenating vintage furniture with his wife. The couple's collaborative project sparked his passion for storytelling, which he began to write down for his children. Gwynne's hobby soon blossomed into a full-fledged writing career, yielding the epic series The Banished Lands and Malice.
