J.F. Holmes is a seasoned writer and Army veteran, drawing from his 22 years of experience as a Senior Noncommissioned Officer in both the Regular Army and Army National Guard. His diverse military career spanned leadership roles, including section leader and Division-level planning staff, with deployments to Cuba, Iraq, and responding to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in NYC. Holmes' creative talents also shine in his popular cartoon strip, "Power Point Ranger," which humorously pokes fun at military life from 2010 to 2014. His prolific writing has produced an array of genres, including military Sci-Fi, Space Opera, Detective, and Fantasy. Two of his books have been finalists for the prestigious Dragon Awards, and as of 2017, he has published 18 books and two novellas.
