Jennifer Lynn Barnes, known to many as Jen, is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of interests and experiences. A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, she has excelled in various pursuits, including competitive cheerleading, volleyball, dance, and primate cognition research. A published author since her teenage years, Jen's writing career began with her first full-length book, penned in high school, which she now considers a "practice book." Her breakthrough novel, Golden, emerged in the summer after her freshman year in college, at the age of nineteen. Jen holds a degree in cognitive science from Yale University, graduating in 2006. She has also contributed to autism research at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, further enriching her experiences and perspectives.
