J.D. Vance Books in Order

J.D. Vance is a bestselling author, investor, and prominent commentator on politics and public policy. Born and raised by his working-class grandparents in Middletown, Ohio, Vance graduated from Middletown High School in 2003 before enlisting in the Marine Corps, where he served in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After completing his military service, he pursued higher education, earning a degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Ohio State University and later attending Yale Law School, graduating in 2013. As a seasoned professional, Vance serves as a principal at Mithril Capital, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm, and is a partner at Revolution, working on the nationwide Rise of the Rest initiative to support entrepreneurs. In Ohio, he founded the nonprofit organization "Our Ohio Renewal," dedicated to addressing the state's opioid crisis. A devoted husband and father, Vance splits his time between Columbus, Ohio, and Washington, D.C., where he lives with his wife, Usha, a law clerk to Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, and their son, Ewan.
