Holly Goldberg Sloan is a celebrated author and filmmaker, known for her diverse and accomplished career in the entertainment industry. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she spent her childhood navigating various international locations, including California, the Netherlands, Istanbul, Washington, DC, and Oregon, where she graduated from high school. Sloan's screenwriting credits include Angels in the Outfield, and she has directed The Big Green, as well as several other successful family feature films. As a novelist, her debut book I'll Be There was followed by the critically acclaimed Counting By 7s, which earned the title of Amazon's best novel of the year for middle grade. Her subsequent novels, including Just Call My Name, have solidified her reputation as a masterful storyteller. When she's not writing, Sloan resides in Santa Monica, California, with her husband Gary Rosen and their two sons.
