Heron Carvic is a British actor and writer known for his versatility in multiple roles. He provided the iconic voice for Gandalf in the BBC Radio adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and portrayed Caiphas the High Priest in the recurring play cycle The Man Born To Be King. As a writer, Carvic created the beloved character Miss Emily D. Seeton, a gentle parody of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, and penned the first five books in the series. Under pseudonyms, the Miss Seeton series continued with Roy Peter Martin writing as Hampton Charles and Sarah J.
