Han Kang Books in Order

Han Kang is a celebrated South Korean novelist, daughter of novelist Han Seung-won. Born in Kwangju, she settled in Suyuri, Seoul at the age of ten, an experience which later inspired her writing in "Greek Lessons". Han Kang pursued Korean literature at Yonsei University. Her writing career began with a published poem in Literature and Society's winter issue, followed by her official debut with the winning short story "The Scarlet Anchor" in Seoul Shinmun's spring literary contest. She has since garnered prestigious awards, including the Yi Sang Literary Prize (2005), Today's Young Artist Award, and the Korean Literature Novel Award. As a professor of creative writing at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Han Kang continues to weave compelling stories and novels, solidifying her position as a prominent figure in modern Korean literature.
