Greg Iles is a critically acclaimed author born in Germany in 1960, but he grew up in the richly atmospheric setting of Natchez, Mississippi. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1983, and although music was once a significant part of his life, as the lead singer of the band "Frankly Scarlet", he eventually transitioned to a writing career, drawn by the creative possibilities it offered. His novels have been translated into numerous languages and are published worldwide, captivating readers in over 20 countries. In addition to his popular novels, Iles wrote the original script for the movie 24 Hours, later renamed Trapped. When not crafting compelling stories, Iles can often be found playing music with fellow authors in "The Rock Bottom Remainders". He currently resides in Natchez, Mississippi, with his family.
