Gordon Thomas is a Welsh author with a storied career, having written over fifty books. Born in Wales, Thomas spent his youth traveling extensively due to his father's RAF postings, attending Cairo High School, the Maritz Brothers in Port Elizabeth, and Bedford Modern School. At seventeen, he penned his first book, Descent Into Danger, a gripping tale of a British spy in Russia during World War II. Thomas later eschewed academia to join a traveling fair, drawing inspiration for his novel Bed of Nails. As a foreign correspondent, he covered pivotal events like the Suez Crisis and the first Gulf War. He also worked as a BBC writer/producer for flagship programs Man Alive, Tomorrow's World, and Horizon. Thomas contributes to Facta, a respected Japanese news magazine, and lectures on intelligence globally. His book Gideon's Spies: Mossad's Secret Warriors was adapted into a documentary, The Spy Machine, for Channel Four, following three years of unprecedented access to Mossad's inner workings.
