George Wier is a multifaceted author, residing in Austin, Texas, alongside his wife Sallie and their pets. A native East Texan, he has spent most of his life in the Bryan and College Station area before settling in Austin in 2002. It was this move that sparked the creation of his Bill Travis Mystery series. Writing seamlessly blends his avocation and vocation, as he crafts stories that resonate with his own tastes as a reader. With a creative spark ignited at a young age, he began writing seriously in 1986, but his ideas have been flowing since he learned to read. As a man of many talents, George also enjoys playing the classical violin and country fiddle, as well as dabbling in art, photography, and book cover design.
