Gavin Lyall Books in Order

Gavin Lyall is a renowned British author, journalist, and former RAF pilot. Educated in Birmingham, he began his career as a pilot before transitioning to Cambridge, where he edited Varsity, the university newspaper. Lyall's writing career flourished with stints at Picture Post, the Sunday Graphic, and the BBC, culminating in the publication of his debut novel, The Wrong Side of the Sky, in 1961. He later served as Air Correspondent to the Sunday Times for four years before dedicating himself to full-time writing. Lyall's marriage to journalist Katherine Whitehorn and their life in London with their children provided a rich backdrop for his work.
