Emily Skrutskie is a six-foot-tall author of genre-bending science fiction and fantasy novels. Born in Massachusetts, she was raised in Virginia before developing her writing craft in the mountains above Boulder, Colorado. Holding a B.A. in Performing and Media Arts from Cornell University, Skrutskie's multidisciplinary education spans film, computer science, and game design. As a critically acclaimed author, Skrutskie has written THE ABYSS SURROUNDS US and its sequel, THE EDGE OF THE ABYSS, as well as the standalone HULLMETAL GIRLS. Her latest novel, BONDS OF BRASS, marks the beginning of a sweeping space opera trilogy.
