Elizabeth Kerner is a fantasy writer, renowned for her epic series based on humans re-establishing contact with dragons who fled mortal lands thousands of years ago. Her notable trilogy, The Lesser Kindred, Redeeming the Lost, and Song in the Silence, sets the foundation for a rich and immersive world. Born in the United States, Kerner's life took a transformative turn when she moved to Scotland in 1976 to pursue her MA in English Language and Literature from the University of St. Andrews. Her diverse experience spans various folk crafts, including goldsmithing, bookbinding, and furniture restoration. She has also worked as a copy-editor for the prestigious Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. Kerner currently resides in Scotland with her husband, Dr. Steven Beard, and is actively working on the next installment of her Kolmar series, set for release with Tor Books in 2011.
