Duncan Tonatiuh Books in Order

Duncan Tonatiuh is a critically acclaimed illustrator and author of children's books. Born in Mexico City, he spent his formative years in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, before studying at Parsons School of Design and Eugene Lang College, both divisions of the New School University in New York City. His first picture book, "Dear Primo: A Letter to My Cousin," was published by H.N. Abrams in 2010 and introduced his unique storytelling style to readers worldwide. Tonatiuh's poignant and powerful illustrations have been featured in various exhibitions, including CONACULTA's catalog of Mexican illustrators for children and young adults, and have been broadcast on the BBC during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic. His graphic novel, "Journey of a Mixteco," earned him the prize for the best thesis in the Integrated Design Curriculum department at Parsons. Tonatiuh continues to create innovative works, including two forthcoming picture books, and maintains an active presence on his blog, where he shares new illustrations and commentary on current events.
