Deborah Goodrich Royce is a multifaceted author and writer, known for her work in the entertainment industry and beyond. Her novel, Finding Mrs. Ford, was hailed as one of Forbes's Top 5, Good Morning America's Top 10, and Book Riot's Top 50 Summer Books of 2019. A graduate of Lake Erie College, where she earned a BA in modern foreign languages and a minor in dance, Royce was later awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters in 2008. Royce's early career spanned ten years as an actress in film and television, with notable roles in feature films and television series such as All My Children, Remote Control, April Fool's Day, and 21 Jump Street. After transitioning to Paris in 1992, she worked as a reader for Le Studio Canal Plus and later became a story editor at Miramax Films, contributing to the development of films like Emma and Walking and Talking. With her writing partner, Mitch Giannunzio, she won a grant from the Massachusetts Arts Council to develop their original screenplay, Susan Taft Has.
