Dale Bailey Books in Order
Dale Bailey is a critically acclaimed author of dark fantasy and horror. Born in West Virginia in 1968, he grew up in Princeton, a town just north of the Virginia line. His short stories have garnered widespread recognition, appearing in esteemed publications such as The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Asimov’s Science Fiction, and Lightspeed Magazine, among others. Several of his stories have been nominated for prestigious awards, including the International Horror Guild Award, which he won for "Death and Suffrage." This story was later adapted as part of Showtime's television anthology series Masters of Horror. Bailey's works have been collected in several volumes, including The Resurrection Man's Legacy and Other Stories (2003) and American Nightmares, a study of haunted-house fiction. His novels, such as The Fallen and House of Bones, have been published by Signet books. He has also collaborated with Jack Slay, Jr. on the novel Sleeping Policemen. Bailey currently resides in North Carolina with his family.
