Conn Iggulden is a British author known for weaving historical fiction into epic tales. Born in 1971, he has been writing since childhood, experimenting with poetry, short stories, and novels. This passion led him to read English at London University, with a focus on writing. Before becoming a full-time author, he spent seven years teaching English, culminating in a role as Head of English at St. Gregory's RC High School in London. His background is deeply rooted in storytelling, influenced by his Irish mother's vivid retelling of history and his father's love of poetry and tales. His great-grandfather was a Seannachie, a Celtic storyteller, further instilling a sense of narrative within him. Iggulden's writing career has flourished, with notable works including the Emperor novels and the Conqueror series, which have garnered international acclaim.
