Christopher Priest is a renowned English author, born in Cheshire, England. With a career spanning over five decades, he has established himself as a versatile and prolific writer. As a full-time freelancer since 1968, Priest has published a diverse array of works, including eleven novels, four short story collections, and numerous other books such as critical works, biographies, novelizations, and children's non-fiction. Notably, his novel The Prestige was adapted into a major film by Newmarket Films, earning two Academy Award nominations, and catapulting it to the top of the US box office in 2006.
