Chris Laing Books in Order
Chris Laing is a Hamilton-born writer who transitioned from a twenty-year career in private business to the Federal Public Service, where he served in the Department of the Secretary of State and National Museums of Canada until his retirement. He now dedicates his time to crafting detective stories, a genre he has long admired as a reader. His short stories have been featured in various literary journals. Laing's debut novel, "A Private Man", was published by Seraphim Editions and earned a finalist spot for the Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Crime Novel in 2013. His second novel, "A Deadly Venture", won The Kerry Schooley Award in 2015, presented by the Hamilton Arts Council. Laing's latest release, "West End Kid: Tales from the Forties", is a collection of short stories loosely based on his Hamilton upbringing during WWII, available as an ebook.
