Chigozie Obioma Books in Order

Chigozie Obioma is a renowned Nigerian author, celebrated for his thought-provoking and poignant works of fiction. Born in Akure, Nigeria, he has established himself as a prominent voice in contemporary literature. Obioma's debut novel, The Fishermen, garnered widespread acclaim, earning the inaugural FT/Oppenheimer Award for Fiction, the NAACP Image Awards for Debut Literary Work, and the Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction. A finalist for the Man Booker Prize in 2015, his work has also been recognized with several other prestigious awards in the US and UK. His writing has been translated into over 25 languages and adapted for the stage. Obioma is currently an assistant professor of Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His subsequent novel, An Orchestra of Minorities, was published in Spring 2019 to critical acclaim.
