Cathi Stoler is a multifaceted author with a background in advertising copywriting. She honed her skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology of the State University of New York before launching her career in fashion advertising. Eventually, she transitioned to writing fiction, specifically mystery and suspense novels. Her notable works include the TELLING LIES, KEEPING SECRETS, and THE HARD WAY series, which features private investigator Helen McCorkendale and magazine editor Laurel Imperiole, as well as the novella NICK OF TIME. Her latest releases include the urban thriller BAR NONE A Murder On The Rocks Mystery and the sequel OUT OF TIME, a Nick Donahue Adventure. Stoler is currently working on a new mystery novel set in the cosmetics industry. Awards and recognitions have been a significant part of her career. She received the 2015 Short Mystery Fiction Society’s Derringer Award for Best Short Story for "Kaluki Kings of Queens" in the MURDER NEW YORK STYLE anthology, and her story "Fatal Flaw" was a 2012 Derringer Short Story finalist. Her work has also been featured in various anthologies and online publications. As a prominent figure in the mystery community, Stoler serves as Vice-President of the New York/Tri-State chapter of Sisters in Crime and is a member of Mystery Writers of America and International Thriller Writers.
