Catherine Lacey is a critically acclaimed author of novels, essays, and short fiction. Her work, including NOBODY IS EVER MISSING and THE ANSWERS, has been translated into multiple languages, including Italian, French, Dutch, German, and Spanish. A recipient of the 2016 Whiting Award, she has also been a finalist for the NYPL's Young Lions Fiction Award and a NYFA fellow. Her writing has appeared in esteemed publications such as The New York Times, Harper's Magazine, Vogue, and Virginia Quarterly Review. Lacey has been named one of Granta's Best Young American Novelists and is poised to release her first short story collection, CERTAIN AMERICAN STATES, and a new novel from Farrar, Straus, and Giroux. Born in Mississippi, she resides in Chicago.
