Cath Staincliffe is a prolific, award-winning novelist, radio playwright, and creator of ITV's hit series, Blue Murder. Her books have garnered critical acclaim, including short-listings for the British Crime Writers Association best first novel award, the Dagger in the Library, and Le Masque de l'Année. In 2012, she won the CWA Short Story Dagger for Laptop, and in 2014, her short story, Night Nurse, was shortlisted again. Staincliffe's Sal Kilkenny series features a single-parent sleuth navigating the complexities of Manchester's streets. Her stand-alone novel, Trio, explores themes of adoption and growing up in the 1960s, drawing from her personal experience. Additionally, she writes the Scott & Bailey novels, inspired by the popular UK TV series.
