Brian Selznick Books in Order

Brian Selznick is a renowned author and illustrator of children's literature. Born in 1966 in New Jersey, he drew inspiration from his diverse family, with a sister who teaches and a brother who is a brain surgeon, as well as his five nephews and niece. Selznick studied at The Rhode Island School of Design and began his career at Eeyore's Books for Children in New York City, where he learned about children's literature from his mentor, editor Steve Geck. As an illustrator, Selznick has worked on numerous titles, including Frindle, The Doll People, and The Dinosaurs of Waterhouse Hawkins, which earned a 2001 Caldecott Honor. As a writer, his notable works include The Houdini Box and The Invention of Hugo Cabret, his most ambitious project to date. Now based in Brooklyn, New York, and San Diego, California, Selznick continues to create captivating stories for children.
