Bill Browder is a renowned author, financier, and human rights advocate. As the founder and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management, he was the largest foreign investor in Russia until 2005. Since 2009, Browder has spearheaded a global campaign to expose Russia's pervasive corruption and egregious human rights abuses, following the tragic murder of his lawyer Sergei Magnitsky, who uncovered a $230 million fraud by Russian government officials. Prior to founding Hermitage, Browder served as vice president at Salomon Brothers. A graduate of the University of Chicago with a BA in economics and Stanford Business School with an MBA, Browder's tireless efforts to bring accountability to corrupt regimes have made him a leading voice in the global fight against human rights abuses.
