Benjamin Myers is a British author and journalist known for his diverse and critically acclaimed works of fiction and non-fiction. Born in Durham in 1976, Myers' writing career spans multiple genres and formats. His novel, The Offing, was published by Bloomsbury in 2019 and achieved best-seller status in Germany, being serialised by BBC Radio 4's Book At Bedtime and selected as a Radio 2 Book club choice. The book is currently in development for stage and has been optioned for a film adaptation. Myers' non-fiction book, Under The Rock, was shortlisted for The Portico Prize For Literature in 2020. His novel, The Gallows Pole, published by Bluemoose Books in 2017, won the Walter Scott Prize in 2018 and has been released in the US by Third Man Books, with a screen adaptation in development.
