Barbara Freethy's passion for writing was ignited by her love of reading, often delving into her mother's extensive library of romantic novels as a child growing up in an all-boy neighborhood. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara, she pursued a career in Public Relations, but soon discovered her true calling in writing. Traditionally published for many years, Barbara founded FOG CITY PUBLISHING in 2011, and has since achieved remarkable success, selling over 8 million books worldwide. Her prolific output includes 69 novels across various genres, including contemporary romance, romantic suspense, and women's fiction. Notable among her works is the #1 New York Times bestseller SUMMER SECRETS. Barbara is currently writing THE CALLAWAYS, a connected family series featuring San Francisco firefighters, and has also concluded the Lightning Strikes Trilogy and the Bachelors & Bridesmaids series.
