Austin S. Camacho is a prolific author of crime fiction, renowned for his novels featuring Washington D.C.-based private eye Hannibal Jones. His six novels in the Jones series have captivated readers, in addition to five thrillers in the Stark and O’Brien series and the standalone detective novel, Beyond Blue. Camacho's short stories have been widely anthologized, including Dying in a Winter Wonderland, a 2008 Independent Mystery Booksellers Association Top Ten Bestseller. His work has also been recognized in Frankie Y. Bailey's Edgar-nominated study, African American Mystery Writers: A Historical and Thematic Study.
