Angus Watson is a versatile writer with a diverse background, having worked as a forklift truck driver and investment banker in his twenties. As a freelance writer in his thirties, he embarked on numerous assignments, including searching for Bigfoot in the USA for the Telegraph, diving on the scuppered German fleet at Scapa Flow for the Financial Times, and swimming with sea lions off the Galapagos Islands for the Times. A history enthusiast and fan of epic fantasy, Watson's passion for the subject matter was sparked while exploring British hillforts for the Telegraph. This inspiration led him to develop a fantasy set in the Iron Age, a story he crafted while walking Britain's ancient paths for further articles. Today, Watson resides in London with his wife Nicola and baby son Charlie.
