Andromeda Romano-Lax is a multifaceted author whose path to fiction began with a career as a freelance journalist and travel writer. Her first novel, The Spanish Bow, has been translated into eleven languages and garnered recognition as a New York Times Editors’ Choice, BookSense pick, and one of Library Journal’s Best Books of the Year. She has also written a dozen travel and natural history guidebooks to Alaska’s public lands, exploring iconic destinations such as Denali National Park and the Tongass National Forest. Her travel narrative, Searching for Steinbeck’s Sea of Cortez, was an Audubon Editor’s Choice. Romano-Lax is a co-founder of 49 Writers, Alaska's statewide literary nonprofit, and currently resides on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
