Her experiences growing up in Washington state, where she spent her days foraging for blackberries and immersing herself in literature, have significantly influenced her writing. Brunskill holds degrees in psychology and art from the University of Washington, as well as a master's in information studies from the University of Texas at Austin. As a librarian, she weaves together her love of storytelling and knowledge, drawing inspiration from her diverse background. Brunskill's debut novel, The Window, marks the beginning of her literary journey, showcasing her unique voice and perspective.
