Alice LaPlante Books in Order

Alice LaPlante is a celebrated writer and acclaimed educator. As a Wallace Stegner Fellow and Jones Lecturer at Stanford University, she inspires the next generation of writers, also teaching in the MFA program at San Francisco State University. Her critically acclaimed fiction has been published in esteemed literary journals such as <i>Epoch</i> and <i>Southwestern Review</i>. A prolific author of five books, LaPlante's breakout novel, <i>Turn of Mind</i>, was published by Grove Atlantic in 2011 and earned her the Wellcome Trust Book Prize for that year. Her non-fiction work, <i>Method and Madness: The Making of a Story</i> (W.W. Norton 2009), became a <i>LA Times</i> bestseller. LaPlante resides with her family in Northern California.
