Alan Partridge, a charismatic and popular radio presenter, is the best-loved in the region. Born into a world of rationing and rapid change, his broadcasting career began as chief DJ of Radio Smile at St. Luke's Hospital in Norwich. He rose to prominence after replacing Peter Flint as the presenter of Scout About, eventually entering the top 8 of BBC sports presenters. His big break came with the primetime BBC chat show Knowing Me, Knowing You, although it was ultimately cancelled due to declining ratings and a single catastrophic incident. Undeterred, Alan seized the opportunity to relocate to local radio, embracing a chance to return to his roots and wind up his production company in London.
