Alan Dean Foster Books in Order

Acclaimed science fiction writer Alan Dean Foster weaves compelling tales of intergalactic adventure and cultural exploration. Born in New York City in 1946 and raised in California, Foster's wanderlust is evident in his writing, which spans multiple worlds and civilizations. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA, earned in 1968, and a M.F.A. in 1969. Foster's literary career took off when a letter he submitted to Arkham Collection was published in 1968. His debut novel, The Tar-Aiym Krang, introduced the Humanx Commonwealth, a galactic alliance between humans and the insectlike Thranx. The novel also launched the character of Flinx, a young man with extraordinary abilities, who has appeared in numerous works, including Orphan Star and Flinx in Flux. Foster is also renowned for his Spellsinger series and The Damned series, among other notable contributions to science fiction, including novelizations of iconic films and television shows such as Star Trek and Star Wars.
